How We Test Cleaners
At HOCL Hub, we are committed to providing thorough and reliable testing of cleaners. Our meticulous process ensures that the products we recommend meet the highest standards of safety, effectiveness, and cost-efficiency.
Scientific Evaluation
Our testing journey starts with a detailed scientific evaluation. We scrutinize each cleaner’s ingredients, formulation, and efficacy claims. This analysis helps us understand how the product works and its potential effects on surfaces and the environment.
Practical Application
After the lab analysis, we move to practical testing to mimic real-world cleaning situations. We evaluate the cleaner’s performance on various surfaces, its ease of use, and its ability to tackle different types of dirt, stains, grease, hard water spots, and soap scum.
To ensure comprehensive results, we use a variety of cleaning tools including microfiber cloths, sponges, paper towels, regular rags, and tissues to see how the cleaner performs with each.
How We Test Disinfectants/ Sanitizers
Testing disinfectants and sanitizers is crucial given the numerous claims about their efficacy. Our protocol ensures we verify these claims and confirm the product’s safety for both users and surfaces.
Microbiological Assessment
For precise and quantifiable results, we employ the SystemSURE Plus, ATP Hygeine Monitoring Device. Here’s how our process works:
- Initial Swab Test: We take an ATP swab sample of the surface to check the initial contamination levels.
- Application of Disinfectant: We then apply the disinfectant or sanitizer to the surface.
- Post-Application Swab Test: After allowing the disinfectant to work, we take another ATP swab sample.
- Data Comparison: We measure the reduction in ATP levels to determine the disinfectant’s effectiveness and compare it against other products.
